The composition, extracted from the collection by Pierre-Joseph Redouté, is distinguished by a precise chromatic study where the orange and red tones of the corollas contrast with the deep green of the jagged foliage. The stroke, characteristic of the excellence of the naturalist plate, emphasizes the structure of the buds and the hierarchy of floral elements with absolute documentary rigor.

The original work from which this plate is issued is the famous collection Choix des plus belles fleurs published in 1827 by the illustrator Pierre-Joseph Redouté. Conceived during the artist's maturity period, this series testifies to the encyclopedic intent of the era, combining a requirement for scientific realism with refined aesthetics. The finesse of the original lithography is restored here to testify to the spirit of 19th-century ornamental horticulture.

Destined for collectors of historical documents and botany enthusiasts, this reproduction of an ancient poster integrates perfectly into a sober and scholarly interior decoration.
