The work highlights the particular grace of the white and pink flowers as well as the singular shape of the foliage. Redouté's composition favors lightness of stroke and color transparency.

A renowned artist, Pierre-Joseph Redouté knew how to capture the essence of this plant originating from the East, brought back from Cyprus around 1731. His work combines documentary requirement and artistic sense, making each engraving a reference for both botanists and art lovers. This plate perfectly illustrates the 19th-century craze for greenhouse and orangery flowers.

Perfect for a collection of antique engravings, this reproduction invites the contemplation of an emblematic floral subject. It finds its place in an interior decor seeking authenticity and refinement, recalling the illustrated herbaria that once adorned scientific libraries and cabinet of curiosities.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0824/4730/2989/files/illustration-botanique-cyclamen-redoute-42x59-4-cm-a2_efd2e4b6-a86e-47c0-a1b5-8d807d46254f.jpg?v=1790771579
https://www.berticdesigns.fr/en/products/antique-botanical-illustration-cyclamen-by-pierre-joseph-redoute
