The illustration consists of a repetitive pattern of brown and blue oval medallions set against a deep burgundy background. The graphic structure is punctuated by white and gold highlights that emphasize the geometry of the organic forms.

Émile-Allain Séguy, a major figure of Art Deco, explores motifs of oriental and Persian inspiration here. The original work, created using the pochoir (stencil) technique, reflects the chromatic research and stylization characteristic of the decorative arts of the early 20th century. The balance between dark tones and points of light mirrors the artist's encyclopedic intention for repertoires of forms.

This decorative print is aimed at lovers of textile design and art history. It can be integrated into a collection of naturalistic plates or used to document the aesthetic currents of the 1920s. Its visual richness offers a privileged observation medium for the study of ornamental motifs.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0824/4730/2989/files/planche-samarkande-medaillons-bruns-seguy-42x59-4-cm-A2.jpg?v=1777735060
