Séguy

This reproduction of an Art Deco engraving is taken from Émile-Allain Séguy's Samarkand series. The work features stylized plant motifs set within blue and green oval shapes, arranged in regular medallions against a burgundy background. A thin purple border frames the composition, enhancing the orderly structure and chromatic depth of this highly refined ornamental study.

Émile-Allain Séguy, active in the early 20th century, excelled in creating patterns for the decorative arts. In this work published around 1920, he reinterprets oriental ornamentation through the prism of Western modernity. The repetition of the medallions and the choice of a dark yet vibrant palette demonstrate his ability to create complex visual rhythms, initially intended for haute couture fabrics and furnishings.

This reproduction of a historical plate makes an exceptional choice for refined and documented wall decoration. Its balance between geometric rigor and organic inspiration will appeal to lovers of textile design and art history. It is a visual collector's piece that brings a touch of historical sophistication to any contemporary space.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0824/4730/2989/files/planche-samarkande-medaillons-bleus-bordeaux-emile-allain-seguy-42x59-4-cm-A2.jpg?v=1777735036
