This document is a reproduction of the cyanotype of the fern Anemia adiantifolia, documented by Anna Atkins in her botanical research. The plate exposes the complex silhouette of the plant with remarkable precision, typical of photograms made by direct contact on sensitized paper, revealing each branch with scientific sharpness.

Dating from the mid-19th century, this work illustrates Anna Atkins' encyclopedic intention to catalog flora through the prism of light. The deep blue enveloping the plant is the result of the iron-gall / ferroprussiate process, used here to serve a systematic and rigorous documentation of the natural specimens in her collection.

This naturalist illustration is a privileged choice for sophisticated interior decoration steeped in history. It allows you to rediscover the beginnings of photography while bringing an organic and serene dimension to the space, bearing witness to historical fascination for the wonders of botany.
