This reproduction unveils the Brahea dulcis, a Mexican palm characterized by its glaucous and flabellate fronds. The illustration details the structure of the stem and the globular stipe felted with fibers. The precision of the stroke allows the observation of the leaf strips which make the beauty of this cold greenhouse species.

The original drawing, signed P. De Pannemaker, dates from 1878 and appears in Oswald de Kerchove de Denterghem's reference work. The species name pays homage to the astronomer Tycho Brahe, illustrating the links between science and botany at that time.

This decorative poster constitutes an elegant testimony to naturalist art. It finds its place in a library or a living room, offering a scientific and artistic perspective on Mexican flora.
