This faithful reproduction of a naturalist plate represents the Cocos Weddelliana, a palm with very fine pinnate fronds. Taken from the 1878 work Palmiers, histoire iconographique, the illustration highlights the slender structure of the plant against a clean background, respecting the codes of 19th-century scientific engraving.

Created by illustrator P. De Pannemaker for Oswald de Kerchove de Denterghem, this work testifies to the documentary rigor of the era. The drawing captures with precision the graceful bearing of this Amazonian species, emphasizing the texture of its stipe and the delicate curvature of its fronds.

Intended for lovers of botany and classical aesthetics, this antique poster brings a touch of natural history to an interior. It lends itself ideally to a thematic collection or sober wall decoration, inviting contemplation of tropical biodiversity.
