This faithful reproduction presents the Livistona Australis, a palm native to Australia, as depicted in the 1878 work by Oswald de Kerchove de Denterghem. The illustration by P. De Pannemaker details the green fan-shaped leaves and robust petioles with remarkable scientific fidelity.

The original work highlights the metallic reflections of the foliage and the red-brown hues of the spiny petioles, characteristic of this cold greenhouse species. This plate is part of the encyclopedic momentum of the 19th century, combining descriptive rigor with the artistic mastery of botanical lithography.

Intended for collectors and lovers of natural history, this documentary print fits perfectly into a refined interior decor. It invites contemplation of an exotic flora studied with passion by Victorian-era horticulturists.
