This reproduction of a scientific plate by Ernst Haeckel presents a variety of Arachnida, featuring spiders with diverse patterns and morphologies. The precision of the stroke allows the observation of the details of the legs, cephalothoraxes, and abdominal patterns of these terrestrial arthropods.

The original work, taken from the collection Kunstformen der Natur, illustrates Haeckel's desire to marry taxonomy and aesthetics. Through these engravings, the German biologist sought to demonstrate the harmony of natural structures, leaving a lasting influence on the world of art and natural sciences at the turn of the 20th century.

This naturalist illustration constitutes a choice piece for a collection dedicated to entomology or the history of biology. It brings historical cachet and documentary rigor to any space dedicated to the study or contemplation of nature.
