This reproduction is a view under the portico of the great temple of Dendera, after the drawings by David Roberts. The composition highlights the monumental columns adorned with Hathor capitals, characteristic of Egyptian architecture from the Ptolemaic period.

Published in the "Egypt and Nubia" series, this plate reflects the 19th-century fascination with the rediscovery of ancient sites. The care given to sculptural details and hieroglyphs illustrates the both scientific and artistic approach of the famous Scottish painter-traveler.

This poster is ideal for enthusiasts of ancient history and neoclassical aesthetics. Its iconographic value makes it a sober and erudite decorative element, finding its place in a workspace, a library, or an elegant living room.
