This reproduction presents a bouquet of poppy anemones (Anemone coronaria), figuring various simple varieties in pink, red, violet, and white hues. Taken from the 1827 collection, the image exposes the chromatic diversity of these flowers on a timeless beige background.

Pierre-Joseph Redouté demonstrates his talent for chromatic study here, capturing the vibrancy of the petals and the contrast with the green foliage. This plate illustrates the popularity of these Ranunculaceae in the gardens of Europe and the Mediterranean basin at the beginning of the 19th century.

Intended to enrich a wall decoration or a flora collection, this botanical illustration invites the observation of vegetal finesse. Its historical character makes it an ideal medium to appreciate classical naturalistic aesthetics and the art of printing.
