This reproduction of a zoological plate features a Eurasian nuthatch (Sitta europaea) perched on an ivy branch. The bird's shades of gray, orange, and white contrast with the realism of the plant support, offering an ornithological study of great finesse.

The original document comes from d'Orbigny's Dictionnaire Universel d'Histoire Naturelle. Published in the 19th century, this work is recognized for its chromatic quality and descriptive rigor, major characteristics of French scientific illustration from this period.

This naturalist print suits observers of avian diversity wishing to decorate their interior with a historical piece. It offers peaceful contemplation and refined aesthetics, ideal for a living room or a library.
