Botanical engraving Narcissus tazetta by Pierre-Joseph Redouté (1827)

This botanical poster offers a reproduction of the plate dedicated to Narcissus tazetta, commonly known as the bunch-flowered narcissus. The chromatic study and meticulous composition highlight a delicate inflorescence with slender stems, where white flowers with yellow centers contrast vividly with long linear leaves. The precision of the line faithfully renders the morphological structure of this spring species.

The original illustration comes from the famous collection Choix des plus belles fleurs published in 1827 by Pierre-Joseph Redouté. Nicknamed the Raphael of flowers, the artist combines scientific rigor and aesthetic finesse. This naturalistic plate bears witness to the mastery of 19th-century etching, a key era for French encyclopedic illustration.

This print will naturally find its place among enthusiasts of botany, floral art, or natural history. Ideal for elegant and timeless wall decoration, this reproduction offers refined contemplation value, easily integrating into both classic and contemporary interiors.
