This reproduction of an antique print illustrates the cultivated jujube (Zizyphus vulgaris). The plate presents a branched branch with its foliage, its discreet flowers, and its ripe fruits, accompanied by precise botanical details allowing the identification of plant structures.

Document originally published in the Dictionnaire Universel d’Histoire Naturelle in the 19th century under the direction of Charles d'Orbigny, this plate combines scientific observation and graphic quality. The use of brown and green shades faithfully reflects the morphology of this Mediterranean fruit tree.

Perfect for enriching a collection of plant illustrations, this plate adapts to a studious or decorative environment. It testifies to the importance of botanical classification in the history of natural sciences.
