This botanical illustration reproduction focuses on carnivorous plants of the Nepenthes genus, recognizable by their characteristic pitchers and complex tendrils. The plate deploys a chromatic palette of greens, reds, and oranges, highlighting the fascinating details of these plants whose structures are adapted to their environment.

The illustration comes from the iconic work Kunstformen der Natur by Ernst Haeckel, a biologist whose work revealed the wonders of nature. Through this study of Nepenthaceae, Haeckel explores the diversity of living forms with scientific rigor coupled with an artistic sensitivity typical of the Victorian era.

Particularly appreciated by botany enthusiasts and naturalist studies, this vintage poster allows a fragment of the history of science to be integrated into one's environment. It constitutes a choice piece to observe the complexity of the plant kingdom and the richness of encyclopedic illustrations.
