This art print features a reproduction of a natural history plate by Émile-Allain Séguy. The composition presents a balanced chromatic study where butterflies and stylized floral motifs are organized into geometric panels. The bold outlines and dynamic juxtaposition of orange, pink, blue, and green highlight the refined visual hierarchy of this ornamental ensemble.

Created during the 1920s, this plate embodies the peak of decorative arts from the Art Deco period. Here, Séguy transforms the rigorous observation of nature into geometrized patterns originally intended for the textile and wallpaper industries. His approach illustrates the fundamental transition between scientific inventory and modern graphic design.

This print is intended for enthusiasts of vintage illustration and applied arts. Designed for interior decoration, this motif brings a captivating visual presence and high aesthetic value when framed and hung in a living or study space.
