This reproduction of scientific art illustrates stauromedusae, or stalked jellyfish (Lucernaria), in a palette of greens and whites. The composition focuses on the radial symmetry of these fixed marine organisms, revealing the delicacy of their calyx-like structures.

Part of the Kunstformen der Natur series created by Ernst Haeckel at the end of the 19th century, this plate perfectly illustrates the link between biology and ornamentation. The author explores the complex structures of marine life, transforming zoological data into true studies of forms and proportions.

This antique illustration is a precious visual resource for lovers of natural sciences and vintage aesthetics. It offers a contemplative look at marine biodiversity, combining the precision of technical drawing with timeless elegance.
