Illustration of a Skylark in Flight, Japanese Print by Kōno Bairei

This art reproduction features an illustration of a skylark in mid-flight, a work by Japanese artist Kōno Bairei. The bird is captured in a dynamic posture, wings spread, with plumage in shades of brown and grey contrasting against the plain background. The artist's sharp stroke successfully captures the energy and lightness of movement, transforming a simple ornithological observation into a lively composition.

Created by Kōno Bairei, this plate is part of the great Japanese tradition of kacho-ga, the art of painting flowers and birds. Active during the Meiji era, Bairei is renowned for his ability to breathe life into his subjects, combining rigorous observation of nature with a deeply Japanese artistic sensitivity. His works are testaments to his era's interest in naturalist documentation.

This print is intended for lovers of Japanese art, collectors of ornithological illustrations, and all those who appreciate natural scenes. It will find its place in an interior seeking to evoke nature and movement, whether in a living room, an office, or a library.
