This Japanese art reproduction features a nighttime view of bamboo under the moon. Kōno Bairei plays with contrasts, with the dark silhouettes of stems and leaves standing out against a background where the moon appears as a diffuse presence. The restricted palette, ranging from black to bluish grays, creates an atmosphere of tranquility and mystery.
This print is an illustration of the Japanese concept of Yūgen, a profound and subtle beauty. Created by Kōno Bairei during the Meiji era, the artwork shows his talent for capturing not only the form, but also the spirit of nature. It is a piece that embodies the visual poetry of traditional Japanese art.
Ideal for print collectors and lovers of minimalist decoration, this poster brings a touch of serenity. It invites meditation and fits perfectly into spaces seeking to evoke the calm and beauty of nature.
