This reproduction presents an emblematic view of Mount Fuji dominating the village of Yui-cho in Suruga province. The composition highlights the roofs of the dwellings at twilight, creating a visual balance between domestic life and the natural majesty of the snow-capped volcano.
Originally created in 1934, this work is part of the ukiyo-e revival led by Hasui Kawase. It is distinguished by its subtle use of shadows and a chromatic palette blending deep blues, warm oranges, and the pure white of the mountain summit.
This antique illustration is ideal for enriching an interior with classic Japanese iconography. It offers a historical perspective on the landscape of Suruga, testifying to an era when art sought to magnify the surrounding nature.
