This art reproduction features a powerful image from Japanese iconography: a white crane in mid-flight before the red disc of the rising sun. The artist Kōno Bairei employs a minimalist composition where the dynamic silhouette of the bird contrasts with the static shape of the sun. The artist's red seal and the fine black lines of the feathers bring life to this refined and symbolic work.

Kōno Bairei (1844-1895) was a major artist of the Meiji period, recognized for the quality of his naturalist illustrations. This print reflects the principles of traditional Japanese art, where nature is depicted with a strong symbolic charge. The crane and the rising sun are indeed emblems of longevity, peace, and good fortune.

Intended for connoisseurs of Japanese art and symbols, this reproduction is a classic representation of woodblock print aesthetics. In an interior, it constitutes a strong focal point, evoking hope and renewal while celebrating the elegance of Nipponese graphic art.
