This reproduction of a nocturnal Japanese print captures the serenity of a full moon landscape along the Arakawa River. The composition features a solitary boat gliding on calm water, bordered by simple rural architecture and dark vegetation. The work on shades of blue and the silver reflections of the moon creates a melancholic depth typical of the author's nocturnes.

Hasui Kawase is renowned for his talent in capturing night atmospheres and natural plays of light. This artwork perfectly illustrates the transition towards a modern aesthetic where the solitude of the landscape becomes the main subject. The plate avoids superfluous ornamentation to focus on the harmony between aquatic and celestial elements.

Ideal for creating a relaxing and zen atmosphere, this illustration naturally finds its place in a bedroom or a relaxation space. Collectors will appreciate the fidelity of this reproduction which allows them to admire the subtlety of the chromatic gradients of the original work.
