This naturalistic plate reproduction illustrates Platodes, commonly known as flat animals, as described by Ernst Haeckel. The image details the sinuous forms and internal structures of these organisms, offering a rare analytical view resulting from 19th-century scientific observations.

Extracted from the famous corpus Kunstformen der Natur, this illustration reflects the technical mastery of period lithography. Ernst Haeckel explores biological diversity through an artistic prism, where each stroke emphasizes the natural elegance of flatworms and other complex marine specimens.

Intended for enthusiasts of natural history and vintage graphics, this scientific print reproduction integrates with sobriety into a workspace or collection. It constitutes a precious visual testimony of the evolution of natural sciences and encyclopedic illustration.
