Naturalist plate of leptomedusae by Ernst Haeckel

This reproduction of a naturalist illustration highlights leptomedusae, marine forms of a fascinating complexity. Taken from Ernst Haeckel's famous scientific corpus, the plate is distinguished by shades of blue and green standing out against a deep black background. The graphic composition emphasizes the radial geometry and characteristic transparency of these organisms, offering a detailed view of their marine anatomy.

The original work comes from the collection Kunstformen der Natur, published at the turn of the 20th century. Ernst Haeckel, a renowned biologist and illustrator, recorded his vision of biological symmetry there, durably influencing the Art Nouveau movement. This plate testifies to the period's scientific rigor combined with an exceptional mastery of artistic lithography.

Ideal for enriching an iconographic collection or perfecting a thematic wall decoration, this reproduction brings a historical and scholarly dimension to your interior. It invites careful observation of living structures and fits perfectly into an environment dedicated to natural history or marine curiosities.
