This reproduction of a naturalistic plate represents the raspberry bush (Rubus idaeus) in all its maturity. The illustration carefully details the clusters of red fruits, the veined foliage, and the characteristic stems of this shrub. The visual approach favors documentary clarity and the finesse of the chromatic rendering of the drupes.
The original work belongs to the collection Choix des plus belles fleurs of 1827, created by Pierre-Joseph Redouté. This plate illustrates the artist's mastery in representing organic textures, fitting into the tradition of the great botanical and encyclopedic publications of the time.
This print is perfectly suited for lovers of antique illustrations and naturalistic themes. It is appreciated as much for its documentary value as for its ability to introduce a touch of scientific heritage into a refined interior.
