This reproduction of a botanical plate illustrates a branch of Peach-Apricot, a variety of the common apricot tree. The subject features three fleshy fruits with yellow-orange nuances, borne on leafy branches of a deep green. The composition respects the codes of 19th-century naturalist illustration, favoring anatomical clarity and chromatic fidelity.

The original work is taken from the collection "Choix des plus belles fleurs", published in 1827 by Pierre-Joseph Redouté. This famous French botanist designed this series to document the pomological richness of his time. Each engraving demonstrates scientific precision combined with technical mastery of enhanced lithography.

This plate constitutes a document of study and contemplation for enthusiasts of ancient pomology. As a decorative object, it integrates perfectly into a sober interior, bringing a historical and organic touch. It allows one to appreciate the finesse of the stroke of one of the greatest masters of naturalist art.
