This reproduction features a naturalist plate dedicated to decapod crustaceans, including crabs and shrimp. This work comes from the corpus Kunstformen der Natur, published by biologist Ernst Haeckel at the beginning of the 20th century.

The plate is distinguished by meticulous execution of the articulated structures of decapods, presented on a contrasted black background that underlines every anatomical detail. This powerful visual style illustrates the junction between zoological observation and Haeckel's artistic influence on the decorative arts of his time.

This antique illustration is a precious testimony to the scientific exploration of marine fauna. It is aimed at biology enthusiasts, print collectors, and those wishing to integrate classic naturalist iconography into their environment.
