This reproduction presents a selection of forged tools characteristic of late 19th-century industrial production. The engraving details with precision instruments such as chisels, mortise chisels, and tinsmith's shears. The iconographic analysis reveals a functional composition where each tool is isolated to highlight its robustness and the fineness of the cutting edge, reflecting the excellence of French metallurgy of the period.

Issued from the Peugeot Frères 1885 catalogue, this plate falls within a context of rigorous technical documentation. The editorial intention was to provide artisans with an exact view of manufactured products. The graphic style, typical of wood or metal engravings from this period, favors line clarity and shape hierarchy, making this plate a precious historical document on craftsmanship.

This illustration is particularly suited for the decoration of a workshop, office, or workspace. It is aimed at collectors of antique tools and industrial history enthusiasts who appreciate the aesthetics of technical objects. Its sober and documentary aspect allows it to be easily integrated into an interior seeking an authentic ambiance and a reminder of traditional forge skills.
