This reproduction of a natural history observation plate highlights ophiuroids and astrophytons, echinoderms with fascinating shapes. The illustration is taken from the emblematic work Kunstformen der Natur by the famous German biologist Ernst Haeckel, published at the turn of the 20th century.

Haeckel's work here is distinguished by a striking contrast on a black background, highlighting the complex symmetry and detailed anatomy of these marine creatures. This work bears witness to the author's vision, which sought to reveal the geometric order and intrinsic beauty of the biological world, durably influencing the Art Nouveau movement.

Intended for fans of marine biology and natural history, this antique illustration fits perfectly into a cabinet of curiosities or a collection of scientific prints. It invites the contemplation of the diversity of aquatic life forms through a careful reproduction.
