This faithful reproduction depicts a teahouse at Koishikawa the morning following a snowfall, an emblematic subject from the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji series. The illustration captures the winter quiet where architectures and figures are covered in a white mantle, under the distant gaze of Mount Fuji.

Designed by master Katsushika Hokusai around 1830, this polychrome print uses flat areas of blue and white to convey the icy atmosphere of the era. The balanced composition reflects the author's encyclopedic intention to document climate changes on the landscapes of the Edo region.

This antique engraving is particularly suited for lovers of winter landscapes and traditional Japanese art. It offers a serene reading of the interaction between human habitat and natural phenomena, conducive to sober and refined wall decoration.
