This reproduction presents an illustration from Émile-Allain Séguy's album Samarkand. The plate features a stylized tree on a luminous turquoise background, populated by colorful birds with brown, blue, and red feathers. Decorative elements evoking pinecones complete this ornamental composition with exotic accents.

Séguy's work, dated to the 1920s, is distinguished by the use of stenciled color to create marked contrasts. This plate illustrates the fusion between naturalistic observation and Art Deco stylization. The author seeks here to capture the essence of oriental motifs to adapt them to the decorative taste of his time.

This reproduction is ideal for enthusiasts of ornithology and 20th-century graphic arts. It brings a colorful and historical note to any decorative environment. The print constitutes a precious visual testimony to the editorial creativity of the Art Deco era.
