This reproduction presents "Shichiri in Sagami Province", an emblematic plate from the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji series. The illustration captures a steep coastal shore where Mount Fuji emerges on the horizon, illustrating the visual relationship between maritime force and the stability of the sacred mountain.

The original work by Katsushika Hokusai, dated to the 1830-1832 period, is distinguished by its dynamic composition and expressive use of line. The palette of deep blues and plant greens accentuates the contemplative aspect of this landscape in Sagami Province, characteristic of the graphic modernity of the Japanese master.

Intended for study or collection, this faithful reissue allows one to appreciate the finesse of the ukiyo-e style. It constitutes a historical testimony on Japanese coastal topography and the influence of Hokusai's iconography on the artistic representation of nature in the 19th century.
