This reproduction presents an ampelographic study of the Vermentino grape variety, taken from Viala and Vermorel's encyclopedic treatise. The illustration shows a cluster of white grapes with golden highlights, supported by dense green foliage. The fidelity of the representation allows for the observation of the morphological details of this Mediterranean variety.

Published between 1901 and 1910, Ampelographie constitutes a major reference in global wine literature. The original plate, the result of meticulous observation work, bears witness to the work's scientific intent. The shades of yellow and brown illustrate the maturity of the berries with characteristic realism.

An object of contemplation for enthusiasts of wine history, this antique illustration integrates harmoniously into a space dedicated to the art of the grapevine. It allows for the rediscovery of the aesthetics of ancient herbarium plates applied to the world of oenology with great iconographic precision.
