This ceramic mug features the reproduction of a plate from the collection Cho senshu (1903) by Japanese master Kamisaka Sekka. The design depicts two butterflies in yellow and green hues enhanced with Calligraphic characters, illustrating a chromatic study of great aesthetic finesse.
Rooted in the traditional Rinpa movement, Kamisaka Sekka's work revisits early 20th-century Japanese decorative art. The artist elegantly combines the naturalist observation of lepidoptera with modern stylization and highly structured black lines.
Designed to enhance your moments of relaxation, this mug is perfect for enjoying your daily coffee or tea. It makes an ideal gift for any lover of Japanese prints and ancient graphic art.
