"Hachiman Shrine at Ichigaya" (original title: 市ヶ谷八幡) is a woodblock print by the Japanese painter and illustrator Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) produced in October 1858.
This print is generally attributed to Hiroshige II, due to the censorship seal affixed a month after the death of the master Hiroshige. However, it is not excluded that the disciple completed a sketch prepared by his mentor. Typical of the series with its vertical format, this composition shows in the foreground a lively street in the Ichigaya district, famous for its teahouses and local prostitution, now a station of the East Japan Railway Company. Clouds tinged with red and pink cross the foreground, while in the wooded mountain is hidden a Hachiman shrine, dedicated to Inari, behind some cherry blossoms.
