This print reproduction illustrates Fuji Seen from Owari Province, a singular plate from the series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. The work highlights the labor of a cooper artisan polishing an immense cask, creating a perfect circular frame through which the distant silhouette of the sacred mountain is drawn.

Katsushika Hokusai's composition plays on geometric contrasts between the massive roundness of human craftsmanship and the triangular peak of Mount Fuji. The use of beige, green, and blue hues reinforces the documentary and technical aspect of the scene, showing the daily intertwining of craftsmanship and the Japanese spiritual landscape.

Ideal for a thematic art collection or interior decoration focused on the history of trades, this illustration captures a moment of manual skill. It invites us to observe the precision of Hokusai's stroke and his ability to magnify the simple gestures of daily rural life in the Edo period.
