"View North from Mount Asuka" (original title: 飛鳥山北の眺望) is a woodblock print by the Japanese painter and illustrator Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) made in May 1856.
As in the two previous prints, people are having tea under cherry blossoms in front of vast rice fields suggested only by a light green hue, while in the distance the distinctive silhouette of Mount Tsukuba can be seen. The land belongs to the Kinrin-ji temple, but it is open to the public as decided by Shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune in 1730. In 1873, it became the first public park in modern Japan. Hiroshige created this print shortly after Shogun Tokugawa Iesada's visit in 1856, which illustrates the documentary nature of many of the prints in the series.
