This reproduction of an antique engraving illustrates an eagle soaring above a snowy landscape in Fukagawa Susaki. The composition, extracted from the One Hundred Famous Views of Edo, offers a spectacular high-angle view where the power of the raptor contrasts with the silent immensity of the frozen plain and the distant silhouette of Mount Tsukuba.

Created by Utagawa Hiroshige in 1857, this naturalist plate uses a strong visual hierarchy to evoke space. The original artwork featured complex engraving techniques to render the bird's plumage, fitting into a precise artistic and geographical documentation approach of the Jūmantsubo region.

This antique illustration is particularly suited for sober decorative use or for an iconographic study of raptors in ukiyo-e art. It invites the contemplation of a wild and rigorous nature, captured by one of the greatest masters of the Japanese landscape.
